Leticia, I cannot say enough good about. She is the sweetest person and works so hard at her job to make everything perfect. Everything in the lobby area and where the food was was immaculate. She is so friendly and welcoming, it’s like you’ve been friends with her for years. I really enjoyed dealing with her.The breakfasts were different every day. One day had sausage the next day had the best biscuits and sausage gravy and then the last day had Canadian bacon. They had eggs every day which I love and they weren’t dried out or rubbery. The sausage wasn’t greasy or dried out. They were good. Fresh waffles that I usually never take, but I did this time and they did not disappoint. The gravy was fresh made the day of the biscuits and gravy and had a little bit of spice to it that made it really nice. The coffee was fresh and good as were juices, pastries, cereal, breads it was a good way to start my day. Nothing fancy, but just good food. I’ve had coffee in the Holiday Inn that was really hard to drink because it tasted so bad but the coffee here was good. Coffee in the rooms was also good which doesn’t happen at the Holiday Inn. That’s where we usually stay in Gunnison. The breakfast here I liked a lot better than the Holiday Inn. The rooms were comfy. Everything was supplied from shampoo to lotions. Towels for the pool were supplied. They had a washer and dryer on site which came in very handy. We were very very happy with staying there. It had snowed and all the walkways were clear to our room from the office. We really enjoyed staying here and I just really like the charm of this place and the friendliness of Leticia. It felt like she was welcoming you into her home and that was a nice feeling.

Although the layout of The Inn says "standard motel," it's hiding the many quality touches of the guest rooms. My personal favorite is the miniature rubber duckie in each bathroom, but generally the experience here is thoughtful and personal. I made my first reservation late in the evening, after the hotel office was already closed, although I didn't know that until I turned up. The lady who opened up and checked us in after we called was friendly and helpful, even though it was midnight, two hours after reception normally closed. We enjoyed our stay so much that we booked another night for our return trip through a couple of nights later.

The location is great, and I loved the outdoor area with the fire pit, the grill, the cornhole games. They had games in the lobby that we were interested in but didn't end up playing - but that looked fun! And the pool and hot tub were nice. The pool was a little chilly, I thought, but the hot tub was lovely. I was also surprised by how quiet it was - maybe we didn't hear people walking by because we were using the air conditioning, but that was nice. Usually one of my dogs gets on edge when he hears people walking by all the time, but we all slept very well through the night and he barely barked at anyone passing by!

We liked the location just a 5 minute drive from town....it is a very peaceful spot. We started a conversation with 3 other guests sitting around the fire pit (they had lit a wonderful fire) and spent a couple of hours enjoying the outdoors. I would advise travelers to check out the hotel website and look at the picture to have an idea of the grounds. A couple of grills are available for guests who would like to fix food and have dinner on the spot. Breakfast was great as well. Many options.

The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and very helpful. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. Some of the furniture is a little old, but still comfortable. The atmosphere of this place is very nice, making you feel like it is more of a community. Nice location. Nice pool. Breakfast was okay, and the staff was very attentive to make sure the buffet was always full. The staff lent us cell phone cubes so we could charge our phones.
